Join the Sing Anyway Sessions

A free, five-session online event around the launch of my new book. Each evening I sit down with a guest to tackle one of the things that keeps shy singers silent. From the fear of being overheard, to voice cracks on high notes, to the moment you actually have to walk onto a stage.

Five days to stop fighting your voice and start enjoying it.

From overwhelm to joy

The traditional method of vocal coaching often starts with the assumption that mastering vocal technique is the only way to enjoy singing. In this approach, the teacher jumps straight into technical work, which can feel overwhelming. My approach flips this on its head. I believe that enjoyment is the key to unlocking your true potential.

Instead of diving headfirst into technique, I begin by addressing mental blockages: fear, hesitation, and self-doubt—so that singing feels joyful right from the start.

"Can I just say how impressed I am with the way you teach and grateful your course exists. I’ve been catching up with the masterclasses and have had such a breakthrough moment on the day 3, doing the 'nya exercise' and then taking it to the 'cold spot'! You’ve given me confidence that I can get where I want to go with my voice, with your help and putting the work in. I’m seeing concepts and material here that I haven’t been exposed to before and your way of explaining them, and the imagery you’ve come up with is just brilliant."

Day 1
The Little Mouse Syndrome: What About the Neighbors?

In a poll of mine, 86% of my audience said the fear of being overheard by neighbors or housemates is one of the main reasons they don't sing out loud. If that's you, you're not alone. With my guest, we'll dig into what I call the Little Mouse Syndrome: the lifelong pattern of shrinking your voice so nobody notices you have one. You'll hear how it starts, why it sticks, and the first steps to dissolving it.

Promise: You'll leave Day 1 understanding why you've held back for so long, and with a new sense that the problem isn't your voice — it's a pattern, and patterns can change.

Day 2
Your Body Is Your Instrument: Yoga, Tension, and the Secret Nobody Told You

What most singing teachers miss is that your voice isn't in your throat. It's in your whole body. Tight hips, locked shoulders, a clenched jaw: they all show up in your sound. My guest and I will talk about why bodywork is the hidden shortcut to a freer voice, and I'll teach you three specific yoga poses that unlock three specific singing problems. We'll do them live. You'll sing a phrase before, and sing it again after, and hear the difference in your own voice within ten minutes. It's the most immediate "wait, what just happened" moment of the whole week.

Promise: You'll walk away with a five-minute body routine you can do before every practice session, and a physical memory of what a free voice actually feels like.

Day 3
The Three Moments of Hesitation: How to Stop Talking Yourself Out of Singing

Every shy singer knows the feeling. You're about to sing, and something stops you. You just finished, and something shuts you down. Those are the three moments of hesitation, and they're the real reason most people never get better. Not lack of talent, but the thousand tiny moments where they pulled back instead of leaning in. With my guest, we'll break down where the moments of hesitation, where they come from, and the mental click that turns them off.

Promise: You'll leave with a practical mental framework you'll use every single time you sing, for the rest of your life.

“It was confronting at times. The first time we sang Hallelujah, I could not sing the part… I could only make air or squeaks. But then, I tried the cold spot exercise… and there was my first reaction: it’s working. And my second reaction was: it’s loud. It just came out. I really enjoyed the discovery.

One of the best parts was being in a group. By the end of masterclass… I just enjoyed the idea that I was part of this group. You asked, like, hey, is everyone here afraid that the neighbors might hear them when you sing? Everyone went, uh, that’s me.”That was such a relief: we’re in this together.

I just loved this week so much. There was just pure contentment and happiness. Thank you so much for organizing the masterclass.”

Day 4
High Notes, Voice Cracks, Belting, and the Top of Your Range

This is the big one. High notes, voice cracks, that panicky moment when your voice flips into something that sounds like a door creaking... it's the number one technical question I get from readers and students.  My guest and I will unpack what's actually happening in your body when a voice cracks, and I'll show you the technical principles that make high notes feel easier instead of harder. We'll work on a real phrase together, live. You'll hear the difference.

Promise: You'll understand why voice cracks happen, how to stop fearing them, and the first concrete steps toward reaching notes you'd written off as "not for me."

Day 5
The Five Levels of Fear: Your Roadmap from Shower to Stage

The final session is about the path forward. I'll walk you through the Five Levels of Fear — a map I've built over years of coaching, from "singing only when nobody's home" all the way to "singing in front of a real audience." Wherever you are right now, there's a level, and from every level there's a next step. You'll identify your own level live. My guest and I will share stories of students who've walked this road, including people who thought they'd never sing in front of anyone and now perform regularly. We'll close the week with a look at what the rest of your singing life can look like.

Promise: You'll leave the week knowing exactly where you are, what your next step is, and with a community of other singers who are taking theirs alongside you.

Hi, I'm Linor Oren

Many singing students who come to me are afraid of singing— on stage or even in their own homes. They worry that their neighbors will overhear them.

That was me once. As a teenager, I only sang in empty bus stations. The fear of someone hearing my voice was unbearable, paralysing. I did everything to avoid at all cost someone hearing me. But the urge to sing was equally powerful.

When I turned 21, something happened that changed everything. I realised that I could no longer be a little mouse. I had to overcome my anxiety and sing.

What followed was a long journey across Music Academy and renowned opera singers. It led to a brief career, and I performed in Opera and Music Theater Projects, such as a 80-day tour of The Phantom of the Opera. But I discovered that teaching singing was maybe an even greater passion for me than singing myself.

Along my journey, I had pieced together a system that I find can tremendously speed up the learning curve for my students. My goal is that for them, what took me so long to learn: singing with joy, and mastery, won't take that long.
